This week we learned about the midpoint is the middle point of a line segment. It is equidistant from both endpoints, and it is the centroid both of the segment and of the endpoints. It bisects the segment.                                                                                                            The distance between two points is the length of a straight line segment that links them.

The distance of a point from a line is the length of the shortest line segment from the point to the line.

Linear measure is defined as a measurement of length.
