8/18/18 Points/Lines/Planes

Image result for define points in geometry This week in geometry we learned about points, planes, and lines. A point is a location it has no size or shape a point is shown by a dot with an capital letter. A line is defined as a line of points that extends infinitely in two directions. We learned about coplanar points are three or more points. Which lie in the same plane.

Image result for define lines in geometry We learned that an line is an straight line that extends in both directions.  Without an end point . If it does have an end point it is called a line segment. We also learned that a line has three points. An line is also defined as a line of points as I stated in my first paragraph.

Image result for what does planes mean in geometry We learned about planes intersecting at a line. A plane is a flat surface that extends infinitely far. A plane is the two-dimensional analogue of a point. It has no thickness. A Point has no dimensions only position. A Line is one-dimensional. I learned that geometry is all about shapes on a flat surface.
